Erik was helpful from the very beginning of my house hunting journey. I was a first time home buyer (now owner) and Erik explained everything to expect. He provided a variety of scenarios especially being that we are in this unpredictable market. He helped me to understand what to expect during my closing and explained all the documents. He was also present during my closing which provided me with a bit of relief. Him and his wife even helped with clarifying additional costs and helped me to get money back for closing. I appreciate all of their expertise and advice. I was unfamiliar of a mortgage broker prior to and now moving forward I will always utilize and suggest Eric to others moving forward.

Erik and Clarkston Mortgage helped me find my way out of a bad situation. For various reasons I was commited to a refinance deadline - if not met, I would have had to put my house up for sale and move. As a private contractor, with terrible record keeping, my finances were not at all attractive to several lenders I called for help. Erik was able to put together a loan allowing me to stay in my house when other lenders mostly told me to call back in a year when my finances were properly sorted. I can't say enough how helpful the team was working through this. They solved a problem that no others would attempt. Don't lose hope until you've talked to them! A sincere thanks Erik! ~ Max B.
